MOTHUSI LETLAKA

Chairman and Managing Director

Mr. Mothusi Letlaka has experience in both the private and public sectors. From an employment perspective, more recently he worked for the KwaZulu-Natal Office of the Premier where he held the position of Secretary of the Provincial War on Poverty Programme.

The key focus areas of this programme were, 1) food security, 2) fighting poverty, HIV and AIDS and TB, and 3) empowerment of women and youth. He further worked for a Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) where he held the position of Programme Leader for an innovative Tuberculosis Programme which was funded by USAID through the University Research Council (URC).  In these roles he engaged extensively with organisations such as the World Bank and various UN Agencies.

Mothusi is currently the Managing Director of Urban 4site, and Director of Strategy and Business Development for a group of companies which include PLI Group, PLI Properties, PLI Projects, PLI-Nyimbane Investment Holdings and PL InterContinental Group.  He further serves on the management committee of a progressive social development services NPO that focuses on the early childhood and youth development sectors.

He holds a Business Management degree, with majors in Business Management and Financial Management.


ROBERT MADUBANYA

Financial Director

Mr. Robert Madubanya has over fifteen years accounting and management experience in the construction industry. During his career he has been exposed to various responsibilities in construction projects in South Africa, Tanzania, Botswana, Zambia and Namibia. 

He is currently the Managing Director of the Morobi Group of companies, which focuses on accounting consulting and support services in the construction, mining and manufacturing industries.

Robert started his career in what is now called Aveng Grinaker-LTA in 1999 where he progressed through the ranks to the point of being appointed to the executive team of Earthworks Engineering during its transition from a loss making entity, to one that consistently produced the highest EBIT in the group.  He held the position of Financial Director in this Business Unit, and was thus responsible for all compliance issues, as well as reporting and financials controls, budgeting and annual audits.  Following this role, he was promoted to the role of Head of Financial Transactions in the Shared Services Unit for Aveng Grinaker-LTA where he was instrumental in leading the change process (transition from a business unit based financial services model to a Shared Services model), including the development of systems and processes to facilitate the management of people change elements.  During this period, he served on various internal boards and external employee benefits boards of trustees.

In February 2013 he was appointed the Chief Financial Officer for Protech Khuthele Holdings Ltd., a JSE-listed entity, where he oversaw the operational financial function of the group. He also contributed towards the strategic direction of the business as part of the board of directors (including all sub-committees) and executive team.

Robert holds a B Comm (Accounting) Degree from Wits University, and a B Compt (Honours) degree from the University of South Africa (UNISA).  He is further a Chartered Accountant registered with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA).


SIAS SCOTT

Executive Director:  Development Management

Mr. Sias Scott brings 17 years of property industry experience to the team.  This includes Bond Consultancy at Saambou Bank; managing an Estate Agency; and Contract, Project & Development Management.

He has been involved with the completion of more than 10 000 residential houses, retail shopping centres, industrial developments, intersection upgrades, and the servicing of more than 12 000 stands.  These various developments have been located throughout South Africa.

Sias is a qualified Estate Agent and holds an Advanced Project Management qualification from UNISA Business School.
